History: Young Living Essential Oils is the Leading Essential Oil Company in the world. Developed and Organized by D. Gary Young who grew up in poverty in the mountains of Idaho. His life story is of a life threatening accident, debilitating pain and also being diagnosed to be confined to a wheel chair. He refused to give in, always searching for things that would help him on the road to recovery. To summarize Gary’s 40 year journey, he was introduced to essential oils, experienced relief and healing, inspiring him into extensive research, and the creating of his first distiller which has all led to this successful world-wide known and respected company of today.

What Are Essential Oils? Essential Oils are the “plant oil” extracted usually through the distillation process: the roots, leaves, flowers, resin, bark or even peel from the fruit. These concentrated liquids (the essence of the plant) are easily absorbed by human cells. Healthy cells – healthy body. Young Living prides themselves in the “Seed to Seal” process where they grow, harvest and produce, being involved in the whole manufacturing process; producing pure, therapeutic quality, unaltered and the highest possible grade. Gifts from Mother Earth in a bottle.

My experience with Essential Oils

I have been using essential oils for over 20 years.

I was first introduced to essential oils in a workshop called Energy-ssage (a relaxation massage, very similar to Raindrop Therapy). This is a pampering and nurturing therapy that uses a set of eight specific essential oils along the spine of your back. Also as a practitioner offering Reiki and Reflexology, I always finish a session with what I call “dessert” using one essential oil to massage into the feet.  It is a way for my client to have recovering time after their session, it offers them additional relaxation, adds another therapeutic value, helps to ground them before they get off the massage table, and gives us a bit of time to talk before out time together is finished. To summarize: essential oils  give “more” to my private practice.

Personally I use essential oils every day in my bath, regularly apply it onto my skin topically with a carrier oil and also use it in my diffuser to improve air quality and aromatherapy value. They can offer so many practical, healthy and healing properties. I use the healing properties of herbs to ingest as natures vitamins & medicines and I use essential oils as aromatherapy or topically that gets absorbed into my blood stream. I am learning all the time.  Plant therapies: nature, natural, and easily accepted by my body’s systems.

As a business opportunity I have joined young Living Essential Oils Through synchronistic events I believe that I was given this wonderful business opportunity to share and add a high grade product to my merchandise here at Nan’s Rock Shop.

So whether you come to my workshop, buy product from my shop, or accept the young living business opportunity … I feel this is a product worth a bit of your time.  On your next visit to the shop ask me how to receive a 24% discount and to receive free product.

Essential Oils Influence on Human Cells

A simple comparison of the plant and the human body show us that the oil and the blood are very similar and both transport the valuable nutrients available to feed and nurture cells. Furthermore, essential oils are so microscopic that they can easily penetrate the fatty layers of our skin.  They have the ability in their chemical structure to penetrate the cell wall of a human cell and transport oxygen and nutrients inside that cell.  They are metabolized like nutrients in the cells.  This includes the blood – brain barrier (compare it to a protective force field around our brain).  The blood – brain barrier is the barrier membrane between the circulating blood and brain that prevents certain damaging substances from reaching the brain tissue and cerebrospinal fluid. This membrane is extra sensitive and protective of the actual brain, yet still allows the passage of essential oil molecules. It recognizes that pure essential oils are natural, beneficial, and a healthy cell food substance. In summary: the oil is the lifeblood of a plant; it carries the oxygen and nutrients, fights its illnesses, and protects the plant. When distilled correctly and kept in its pure form it will do the same for the human body. Giving your body “more” to be able to maintain, prevent and repair itself.

Essential oils have been recognized for their ability to decrease the viscosity (thickness) of our blood while increasing the velocity or movement. The improved circulation increases the oxygenation of our tissues.  When cells walls thicken, oxygen cannot get in.  Cells divide and make two duplicate cells.  If a cell is diseased, two new diseased cells will be made.  When we stop the mutation of unhealthy cells, by creating healthy cells, we assist our body in preventing and stopping disease.  Pure essential oils have the ability to penetrate and carry nutrients through the cell wall (including oxygen) to the nucleus and improve the health of the cell.  Essential oils will also bond to metallic and chemicals (pollutants, poisons), and carry them out of the cell and out of our body.

Essential oils are powerful antioxidants.  Antioxidants create an unfriendly environment for free radicals, prevent all mutations, work as free radical scavengers, prevent fungal, prevent oxidation in mutated cells and help to oxidate (bring in oxygen).  One of the main causes of disease in both plant and the human body is the inability of nutrients to penetrate the cell wall.  This causes cell deterioration, leads to cell mutation – which in turn creates a host for bacteria and disease.  It has been said that anyone who uses essential oils on a continuous basis has a stronger immune system.  This is true whether they are inhaled, or are rubbed on the body topically.  Even those who contact a cold or flu can recover 70% faster when using pure essential oils. Healthy cells, healthy tissues, healthy body!

After applying essential oils into our body system, it gets into our bloodstream and affects every cell, including the hair, within minutes. They may have a lasting effect for as long as five months from one application. This science is thousands of years old, and was one of man’s first medicines. Wonderfully soothing, nurturing, and relaxing, yet also physically effective. Written Carol Layton January 2017
